I imagine new forms and give a new life to forgotten objects

My artistic creation was originated in a landfill; the sudden appearance of hundreds of computers was enlightening to me: mother boards, printed circuits, various electronic components looked like something familiar to me, things in which I saw ghost towns, each with its own characteristics.

The presence of a “new world” made me feel like a traveller discovering far lands.
My thought was to bring to light, to put back into the circuit of creation, giving a new life to these old objects already become useless and bulky waste.

The globalized market continuously creates items which are voraciously consumed by a greedy society, so being able to give back a place to objects highly technological, representing an accessible world to each of us until recently, led me to act in the name of an artistic and sustainable cause.

My work consists in transforming and giving a new existence to formerly known and experienced forms. Materials difficult to be recycled can become media, suitable for new artistic production.

The first step of the work consists in giving origin to a primary scenography in which the aesthetic microcosm is made up of a small plywood board, on which I put several recovered objects: clay, acrylics, plasticine, and small miniatures which are also part of the waste circuit.
In this process, I create a metaphysical, post-industrial landscape, where multi-material sculptures become scenery of new cities, viewable by everyone’s gaze.

Once the “reality” of the work has been built, I find a point of view and portray these environments with a photograph, in which the viewer, as a privileged observer, even if enjoying only a part of the subject, identifies a vision that is amplified through perspective, where the small becomes big and space gets its own dynamism.

The landscape stimulates several interpretations.
